Sue Lenfest artist statement: “When I was young growing up in South Woodstock, Vermont, on a Dairy farm with my parents, grandparents, and siblings, I was inspired to draw and paint what was around me everyday .
After going to college for Fine Arts at the State University of New York at Plattsburgh , I started painting the farms around me and the mountains and meadows in Oil, charcoal and pencil . I learned woodblock printing with watercolor paints and enjoyed how this medium worked with landscapes and animal portraits.
Working outside and from life for most of my material is a joy!
