Important Notice: The Royalton Memorial Library will be closed to the public for the months of November and December. Due to safety concerns, and the logistics of moving books and equipment, the library will remain closed until the renovation is completed.
The Board of Trustees and the library staff apologize for the inconvenience and we thank the community of patrons, volunteers, donors, and agencies who all worked so hard to make this possible. We ask for your patience and understanding as we enter the final phase of the much needed renovation.

During the closure
- Books and movies cannot be checked out from the library.
- Patrons can return books to the Book Drop Box outside the library.
- Storytime with Ms. Paula continues every Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Red Door Church, 67 S Windsor St, South Royalton. Parking is available. Free and open to the public.
- D&D (Dungeon and Dragons) meets Sundays at 108 Chelsea Station, South Royalton. Please email librarian@royaltonlibrary.org for times.
Patrons can make use of the ebook and audio books available through the Green Mountain Library Consortium service. Please email librarian@royaltonlibrary.org for more information about books and audio from GMLC.

- Storytime and Craft with Ms. Paula and Ms. Jenn continues every Thursday at 10 a.m. Free and open to the public. Please note: The meeting place of Storytime and Craft with Ms. Paula and Ms. Jenn will be located at the Red Door Church, 67 S Windsor St, South Royalton during library construction. Parking is available. Storytime and Craft with Ms. Paula and Ms. Jenn continues every Thursday at 10 a.m. Free and open to the public.
- D&D (Dungeon and Dragons) game night will meet Sundays at 108 Chelsea Diner, South Royalton. Please call Tyler Strong at 802-763-7094 for additional information and meeting times.
Update on some of the work being done this month:
- painting interior walls (they look beautiful!)
- new handrail along the stairs installed Â
- sections of the heating system installed Â
- ceiling lights are going up
- more cement work continues
- the elevator is in place We will begin moving books into the new stack room as soon as we get the go ahead. There are quite a few boxes to move!
