The Royalton Memorial Library shares the paintings of Ciara Cumiskey. This show, “Chapters: New Works” will be a combination of still-lifes, landscapes, and imaginative scenes as her work matures. Cumiskey explains, “I am exploring images that are coming straight from my imagination. Normally my process involves creating the scene with a still life or capturing a sunset on camera, but I’m beginning and starting this new chapter and becoming more playful with my ideas and materials.” Cumiskey moved to Northern California in 2015 after completing her degree in Studio Art at Southern Connecticut State University, where she was part of the leadership in the Student Arts League. She began working as an art instructor leading step-by-step acrylic painting classes through the Sacramento Public Library system in 2016, calling on her skills from her time as a paint and sip instructor in Connecticut.
Cumiskey is an artist, graphic designer, art instructor, and improviser, currently living in Northern California. Ciara Cumiskey’s exhibit can be viewed Tuesday–Friday, from noon-6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.. The exhibit will be on display until December 31st.
