South Royalton artist John Duffy’s photographs are on display Sept. 18-Oct. 31 at the Royalton Memorial Library, 23 Alexander Place, in South Royalton. John Duffy’s photography exhibit titled, “Where We Live” will open on Tuesday, September 18. His photographs are printed on gator board and will be on sale, with proceeds to be donated to assist some local folks battling cancer.
“The photos in this exhibit were mainly taken in the immediate area. I am constantly reminded of all the beauty that surrounds us here in Vermont. It is my intention to celebrate it through photography. Documenting it in this way helps me to remember my travels out-and-about. It also enables me to share common experiences with others. Emotionally, it fills a need and feeling of wanting to hold on to memories. Hopefully, the viewer will develop a personal story or idea to reflect on.”
Mr. Duffy is an artist, musician, and former educator who lives in South Royalton, Vermont.
John Duffy’s exhibit can be viewed Tuesday–Friday, from noon-6 p.m., and Saturday, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m., at the Royalton Memorial Library, 23 Alexander Place, in South Royalton, Vt.
